From seven months onwards, your puppy is slowly becoming a young dog. His rate of growth slows down in this new phase – and the energy content of his diet needs to be adapted. What is so special about our heart-shaped loop with the hole?

All our Young products are made as heart-shaped kibble and have a hole in the middle. The aim is to create an easily digestible dog food. The hole makes the kibble break up faster while eating – and it is easier for your dog to chew. The larger surface area also allows the digestive juices to envelop the food better in the stomach.

Please note: As the dog approaches its final weight, the energy requirement
and the amount of food should be adjusted in line with the feeding guide.

General feeding guide:
• Weigh young dogs regularly and document weight development.
• It may be necessary to adjust the amount of food for individual pets.
• Do not give too much to eat – make sure your dog grows at a moderate rate.
• If you give snacks, reduce the amount of food accordingly. Hint: use part of the daily food ration as a snack substitute.
• The food can be given dry or soaked briefly in warm water to soften
• Split the daily food ration between several meals (2-3).
• Make sure fresh drinking water is available at all times.
