The Ajax FireProtect Plus Black is a wireless fire safety detector capable of detecting not only smoke and rapid temperature rise, but also the presence of carbon monoxide (CO). It's a comprehensive solution for maximum fire safety in homes and offices, providing timely alerts for three primary fire hazards. Its elegant black color allows it to blend discreetly into darker ceilings and wall surfaces.

The detector is equipped with a smoke chamber, a temperature sensor, and a carbon monoxide (CO) sensor. The smoke chamber detects smoke particles, the temperature sensor reacts to rapid temperature rise or exceeding a set threshold, while the CO sensor identifies the presence of poisonous carbon monoxide gas. In the event of a fire or CO leak, FireProtect Plus can sound synchronous alarms with other FireProtect detectors in the system, ensuring a swift alert throughout the property. It can also operate independently of the Ajax Hub if power goes out or connection is lost, sounding a built-in siren.

For communication with the Hub, Jeweller radio technology is used, providing a secure connection up to 1300 meters in open space. The detector's operating life is up to 10 years on two pre-installed CR2 batteries (main) and one CR2032 (backup). The smoke chamber is protected from dust for long-term reliable operation.
